Proposem ("we", "us", or "our") provides an AI-powered proposal generation tool for trade contractors. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign up via Google, your name and profile picture. This is stored securely via Supabase.
Company & proposal data
We store the information you enter into Proposem — company name, logo, brand colors, technician details, proposal content (job descriptions, line items, photos), and client-facing proposal outputs. This data is necessary to provide the service.
Payment information
Subscription payments are handled by Stripe. We never store your credit card number. Stripe shares with us only non-sensitive billing details (last four digits, billing email, subscription status).
Usage data
We track the number of proposals generated per billing period to enforce plan limits.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Proposem service
- To generate AI-drafted proposals on your behalf using Anthropic's Claude API
- To send transactional emails (proposal delivery, confirmations) via Resend
- To process subscription payments via Stripe
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- To respond to support requests
- To improve the product based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. AI Processing
When generating a proposal, the job description, labor rate, payment terms, and any uploaded jobsite photos you provide are sent to Anthropic's Claude API. Client and company identifying information (names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses) is not included in AI requests — it is merged into the proposal locally after the AI response is received.
For AI-powered change requests (Pro plan), only the proposal's scope and pricing content is sent to Claude — all identifying and signature fields are stripped before the request is made. Anthropic's use of submitted data is governed by their usage policy. We recommend you do not include sensitive personal data (e.g., social security numbers, banking details) in job descriptions.

We rely on the following sub-processors:

5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or billing compliance purposes (e.g., Stripe transaction records).
6. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption in transit, row-level security policies in our database, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
